Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. This page lists the ones fruitmachineguide.co.uk uses, what each is for, and how to change what you agreed to. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations we need your consent for everything except the cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work.

18+ Gambling can be addictive and you must be 18 or over. In Great Britain an online casino may only be offered with a licence from the Gambling Commission under the Gambling Act 2005, and every licence is listed on the public register. Free, confidential support is available from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133.

There is no advertising network on this site and no behavioural retargeting. Nothing here follows you around the internet, and if you decline everything except the necessary cookies the site behaves identically.

Affiliate cookies, specifically

When you follow a link to a casino, that operator or its affiliate network usually sets a cookie so the referral can be attributed to us. It records that a visit came from this site — not who you are and not what you do afterwards. Once you are on their site, their cookie policy governs, and there is a link to it in their own footer.

Changing your mind

  • On this site: use the cookie settings link in the footer to reopen the preferences panel and change or withdraw consent at any time.
  • In your browser: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies per site, under privacy or site settings.
  • Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: we honour GPC signals where the browser sends them, and treat them as a refusal of non-essential cookies.

Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that already happened, and deleting cookies will also delete the record of your previous choice — so you will be asked again on your next visit.

How this relates to the rest of our data handling

Cookies are only one of the ways a website can process personal data. Everything else — server logs, correspondence, your rights of access and erasure — is set out in the privacy policy, and the terms on which the site is published are in the terms of use.

Questions and complaints

Write to privacy [at] fruitmachineguide.co.uk with anything about this policy. If you are not satisfied with the answer, the Information Commissioner’s Office regulates cookie compliance in the UK and takes complaints directly at ico.org.uk.

About the author: Nell Ashworth

Before I started writing about casinos I spent six years in the financial-crime team of a UK payments firm — which is to say, on the side of the desk that halts a transfer and asks for paperwork. That is why I can usually tell a check that genuinely has to happen from a check that is simply a convenient reason to delay a payout.

I open the accounts myself, deposit my own money, ask for it back and write down how long it actually took. There is no more method than that. If a site takes deposits by card but only pays out to a bank account, it goes in the text rather than in a footnote.
